Hi, I’m Elijah Young, the founder of YNG Film.

 

I’m a professional photographer, videographer, and visual storyteller based in southwest Iowa. For over ten years, I’ve been passionate about capturing authentic moments and creating images that tell meaningful stories. What began as a love for the outdoors and wildlife photography has grown into a full-service creative business specializing in portraits, families, seniors, weddings, and commercial branding.

 

My goal is simple: to create timeless, high-quality images and films that preserve real moments and genuine emotion.

 

I believe the best photographs are more than just pictures — they are memories, stories, and moments that deserve to be remembered for generations. Whether I’m photographing a wedding day, a senior session, a growing family, or helping a business build its brand, I approach every project with attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.

 

My work is heavily influenced by cinematic storytelling, natural light, and a fine-art approach to composition. I strive to create images that feel authentic, emotional, and visually striking.

 

In addition to client work, I have a deep passion for wildlife and landscape photography. Capturing the beauty and power of creation has shaped the way I see light, timing, and storytelling through the lens.

 

My faith, family, and passion for creativity are at the center of everything I do. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m spending time with my wife, Makayla, and our son, Jesse.
